Fire warnings were issued for parts of the country.
The South African Weather Service has issued a warning for damaging winds over the southern parts of the Northern Cape and central parts of the Western Cape.
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Karoo Hoogland and Khai-Ma municipalities of the Northern Cape, as well as the south-western parts of the Cape Winelands.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh west to north-westerly
It will be partly cloudy in the west of the Western Cape, with showers and rain along the coast.
Otherwise, fine and cool to warm conditions will prevail, with moderate to fresh north-westerly coastal wind.
The wind will be strong in the south-west and moderate to fresh south-westerly along the south coast.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be partly cloudy and warm to hot.
The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly, becoming moderate to fresh south-westerly.

KwaZulu-Natal will be partly cloudy and warm, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the north.
